Paver Maintenance & Care
Should I Apply a Sealer to My New Pavers?
Not right away. We recommend waiting before sealing your new pavers due to efflorescence.
What is Efflorescence?
Efflorescence is a natural occurrence where a white haze may appear on the surface of the pavers over time. This is caused by salt deposits rising through the material. It is more noticeable on darker pavers and disappears when wet but reappears when dry.

FAQS
Why is it called an interlocking paver?
Interlock is defined as the inability of a paver to move independently of the neighboring units. This creates a durable and flexible pavement system that performs in any climate. The interlock is achieved through the pavers’ laying pattern, sand-filled joints, an appropriate base (foundation) and bedding layer, and an edge restraint to lock it all into place. When built correctly, the pavement system will resist loads created by cars, trucks and heavy foot traffic.
In fact, when pavers are walked on, although your foot takes up only one or two pavers, this interlocking system ensures your weight is evenly distributed over six to seven pavers with each step you take.
